Directions for Homemade Edible Cookie Dough

Step 1: Bake or heat up flour to kill pathogens and bacteria. Place the 2 cups of flour on a rimmed baking sheet and bake in an oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for about 10 minutes. Make sure the flour reaches 165 degrees then remove it from the oven, and let it cool completely. If you don’t have an oven you can microwave the flour on a plate at 30-second intervals until the flour reaches 165 degrees F.

  • Step 1: Baking sheet with 2 cups of flour scattered on it. Ready to be baked to 165 degrees F and made into Edible Cookie Dough.
  • Thermometer testing the temperature of flour in the oven.

Then, if needed, use a whisk to break up the flour once cool.

Step 2: In a stand mixer, cream together the softened butter and light brown sugar. Then add the salt, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix well.
