How to Make a Simple Fruit Salad That Tastes Great
This simple Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad takes 10 minutes to prepare — from cleaning the fruit to a quick toss in a homemade dressing to a finished dish for a delicious, healthy side dish or snack that satisfies all ages!
Ingredients for Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad
- 32 ounces(2- 16 ounce containers) of fresh strawberries
- 11 ounces (1 pint) of blueberries
- 4 ripe bananas
- 1/8 cup honey
- 1 lime, juiced
- As a busy mom, we don’t usually stock limes at our house, so I often use lime juice. The fruit salad still tastes scrumptious with a tad less work!
Directions for Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad
First, wash and cut the strawberries in half and rinse the blueberries. Then, cut the bananas into thick, chunky slices. Thickly sliced bananas will not break down and turn to mush when stirred.
Next, whisk the honey and lime juice together in a large bowl.
Add the strawberries, blueberries, and bananas and lightly toss until all fruit is coated in the dressing. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
Can you make Red, White, and Blue Fruit Salad in advance?
Yes, I recommend making this up to 4-5 hours in advance. However, I would wait to cut and add the bananas until right before serving.
Save time the day of the party by prepping the strawberries, blueberries, and the fruit salad dressing the night before.

Storing Fruit Salad
This easy fruit salad can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. The fruit will soften and slightly brown the longer it sits.
