Snack-size pieces of delicious melted milk chocolate surrounded by and topped with mini marshmallows and crunchy crushed Golden Grahams is this S’mores Bark recipe.
My family loves S’mores bark! It’s the perfect snack for kids and adults with the mix of crunchy cereal and soft marshmallows surrounded by decadent milk chocolate. While I snack on it when my little ones are taking a nap, my kids run to the refrigerator for this great after-school snack.
S’mores candy bark is an addicting and well-deserved treat after a long day and we are all just sad when it’s gone!
Chocolate Bark Recipe with Marshmallows and Golden Grahams
This is one of the easiest kid-friendly snacks that I have ever made. With only three ingredients, this unique chocolaty snack is fun for everyone!
S’mores Bark Ingredients
- 2 cups of milk chocolate
- Now here’s where I confess: For Christmas this year one of my favorite people gave my family a ridiculously large 3-pound Hershey’s chocolate bar and I have been brainstorming from that day about all the goodies I could make. I mean what can you do with a 3-pound chocolate bar? Everything, right?! Well, we have nibbled on it here and there but I wanted more. And I have to admit melting it down for S’more bark might have been one of my better decisions. We are making that chocolate goodness go a long way!
So when melting down a large chocolate bar like this, make sure to chop your pieces into the same size. This way the milk chocolate melts evenly and you won’t scorch the chocolate waiting on the larger pieces to melt.
- 1 1/2 cups Golden Grahams Cereal, slightly crushed
- Put the cereal in a plastic bag and just tap the bag with the back of a spoon to just break most of the Golden Grahams into smaller pieces. We got to spread that Golden Graham love out!
- 2 cups mini marshmallows
S’mores Bark Directions
In a medium microwave-safe bowl, melt your chocolate by microwaving it 30 seconds at a time. Stir the chocolate in between each interval and be careful not to scorch the chocolate.
Once the milk chocolate is melted, stir in 1 cup of the Golden Grahams and 1 cup of the mini marshmallows. Then pour the chocolate onto a large 10×17-inch rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Then spread the chocolate out evenly into a thin layer.
Sprinkle the remaining Golden Grahams and mini marshmallows on top and press them down lightly into the melted milk chocolate with the back of the spatula.
Keeping the baking sheet level, place it in the freezer for at least 2 hours. Remove the frozen s’more bark from the freezer and cut it into snack-size pieces. Enjoy!
We cut the bark into various sizes to fit all the different appetites in our house but a 2-inch square is a great size to start at for candy bark.
How do you store candy S’mores Bark?
We prefer the extra crunch from it being chilled so we like to eat s’mores bark from an airtight container in the refrigerator. You can keep s’mores on the counter in an airtight container as well as long as it doesn’t sit in the sun or get too warm from the stove or oven. Eat it within a week or two.
