How to make Strawberry Pretzel Salad Dip
This splendid strawberry dessert dip can be whipped up in five minutes, saving all of us busy people much-needed time and energy!
Ingredients
- 8 ounces softened cream cheese
- For us, this is a block of cream cheese, and I throw it on the counter for a couple of hours to ‘soften’ it to room temperature. Softened cream cheese creams like a dream and makes a great dessert.
- 1/3 cup sugar
- A pinch of salt
- 8 ounces of Cool Whip or other whipped topping, thawed
- This is a small tub of Cool Whip. And for bonus points, you must thaw your whipped topping before stirring it into dessert, or it will be a mushy block of water mess.
- 1 cup Strawberry Pie filling
- Pretzels for dipping
- Good ol’ mini-twist pretzels work great and are a traditional favorite dipper in our family, but you can experiment and use fancy Pretzel Crisps that hold a remarkable amount of this delicious dip.

Directions
First, in a medium mixing bowl, cream together your softened cream cheese, sugar, and salt using a hand-held electric mixer. Then fold in the Cool Whip until completely incorporated. Gently mix in the 3/4 cup of the strawberry pie filling. I choose to leave it swift because I love to have different amounts of pie filling per site, but you can stir the filling into the base entirely for a nice ‘pink’ dip.
Now transfer the dip to your serving dish, garnish it with more pie filling, and dip away with your favorite pretzels!
