How to Make Taco Hashbrown Casserole
With its sturdy potato hash brown base, cream cheddar cheese soup, and just a bit of taco meat kick, this casserole is your basic comfort food. With it’s simple flavors and easy prep, this casserole is a winner!
Ingredients
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon minced, dried onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 26 ounces of frozen hash browns
- 10.5 ounces(1 can) cheddar cheese soup
- 1 ounce packet of taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
Directions
First, preheat your oven to 375°F and lightly grease a 9×13 baking dish.
Then, in a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with garlic powder, minced onion powder, black pepper, and salt until no longer pink. Drain off the excess fat.
Next, in a large bowl, mix the frozen hash browns, taco seasoning, ground beef, cheddar cheese soup, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese.
Add the mixture to the baking dish, spread evenly, and top with the remaining shredded cheese.
Bake the Taco Hashbrown Casserole for 25-30 minutes uncovered. Top with sour cream, salsa, or your favorite taco toppings. Enjoy!
