Baked Garlic Parmesan Chicken

A tender and juicy marinated garlic chicken breast topped with shredded parmesan cheese and parsley baked to perfection is this baked garlic parmesan chicken recipe. This recipe is addicting and delicious as an easy main dish but even better as a protein to your favorite Cesar salad!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chicken breast this is about 2 larger breast
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 3 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 3 dashes crushed cayenne pepper
  • ΒΌ teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsely

Instructions

  • Prepare the marinade, topping, and chicken. In a medium bowl mix together the extra virgin olive oil, garlic powder, lemon juice, cayenne pepper, and salt and pepper for the marinade. Then, in another medium bowl mix together the shredded parmesan cheese and parsley for the topping. Lastly, butterfly your chicken breast.
  • Place the butterflied chicken in a baking dish and marinate the chicken by topping it with the lemon and garlic marinade. Let this sit while the oven preheats to 400 degrees Fahrenheit or about 30 minutes.
  • Once, the oven is preheated evenly sprinkle the marinated chicken with the parmesan cheese topping. Bake the chicken for 20 minutes or until the chicken has an internal temperature of 165 degrees F. Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes. Serve warm and enjoy!
