Prep Time 10 minutes
Servings 4 pork chops

Ingredients

  • 4 pork chops about 1" thickness
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons paprika smoked or sweet
  • 1 teaspon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F. Then line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper. You may use a greased baking sheet as well.
  • Pat dry your thawed pork chops with paper towels. Then rub them with olive oil and place them on the baking sheet.
  • In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, onion powder, thyme, salt, and pepper.Lightly stir spices. Now coat the pork chops on all sides with the spice mix.
  • Bake the pork chops in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes. The pork chops are done when the internal temperature is 145°F on an instant-read thermometer. (Start checking at 10-12 minutes. Thinner pork chops cook faster and need to be checked sooner. Bone-in pork chops will take longer to cook.) Overcooked pork chops will be dried out! Once baked, let the pork chops rest for 5 minutes to reabsorb the juices, then serve warm.
