Ingredients
1package sweet Hawaiian rolls12 count
3ouncessliced pepperoni
2cups shredded mozzarella cheese
¼cup shredded parmesan cheese
1cup pizza sauce You could also use marinara or spaghetti sauce.
¼cupbutter(½ stick)melted
2teaspoons oregano
1teaspoon garlic powder
1tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
1dashtable saltto taste
Instructions
In a small bowl whisk together the melted butter, oregano, garlic powder, grated parmesan cheese, and salt. Set aside.
Next, in a medium bowl combine both the shredded mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Set aside.
Now, take the Hawaiian rolls out of the package in one piece and slice them in half creating a top and bottom slab leaving all the individual rolls together.
Place the bottom slab cut side up in a lightly greased 9x13 baking dish and coat evenly with the pizza sauce. You can use as little or as much as you prefer depending on how saucy you want the sliders.
Next, take the shredded cheese mixture and sprinkle it on top of the pizza sauce followed by a layer of pepperoni. Here's where you can add extra toppings too like banana peppers, mushrooms, ground sausage or a bit of chopped onion for extra flavor.
Now place the top of the rolls cut side down and brush the rolls generously on the top and sides with the butter mixture.
Lastly, bake the pizza sliders at 350 degrees Fahrenheit covered with foil for 30 minutes. Uncover and bake an additional 10 or until the tops is slightly browning and the cheese is melted. Let sit for 5 minutes and eat warm!
