2-4boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1cupwater
Instructions
Season your chicken breast well by patting the seasoning on both sides of the chicken until it is fully covered.
In a 10-inch skillet or larger, drizzle 2-3 Tablespoons of oil and put the pan on the stove over medium heat. Once the skillet is heated, add your seasoned chicken breasts; DO NOT touch them. Fry them for 5 minutes on that side. Set a timer.
After the 5 minutes are done, flip your chicken breasts and add 1 cup of water to the skillet. Then, cover the skillet and cook for about 2-4 minutes longer. 2 minutes for thin breasts and/or heavy skillet. 4 minutes for thick chicken breasts and/or thin skillet.
Now turn off the heat and let the chicken sit, still covered, for 15 minutes. Do not lift the lid and peek.
Then, remove the chicken from the pan and let it rest for a couple of minutes on a cutting board. These delicious chicken breasts can be eaten as is, used as a lean protein in many dishes, or topped on salads. Enjoy!
