16 ounces pasta of choice
1cup cottage cheesewhole milk
1cupmarinara or spaghetti sauce
1cup reserved pasta water
½cupshredded parmesan cheese
2tablespoons butter
⅛teaspoon or pinch red pepper flakes
optional more red pepper flakes, shredded parmesan cheese or parsley for garnish
Instructions
Boil heavily salted water and cook the pasta according to the package directions. Then reserve 1 cup of the pasta water. Drain pasta and return to the pot, cover.
Cream together until smooth the cottage cheese, marinara sauce, pasta water, shredded parmesan cheese, butter, and crushed red pepper flakes in a blender for 1-2 minutes.
Pour the prepared sauce over the cooked pasta in the pot and stir until all pasta is evenly coated. Garnish with more red pepper flakes, shredded parmesan cheese, or a little chopped parsley. Serve warm. Enjoy!
