Ingredients
- 16 ounces pasta of choice
- 1 cup cottage cheese, whole milk
- 1 cup marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 1 cup reserved pasta water
- 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoon butter
- 1/8 teaspoon or a pinch of red pepper flakes
Directions
First, boil heavily salted water and cook the pasta according to the package directions. Then reserve 1 cup of the pasta water. Drain pasta and return to the pot, cover.
Next, cream together until smooth the cottage cheese, marinara sauce, pasta water, shredded parmesan cheese, butter, and crushed red pepper flakes in a blender for 1-2 minutes.
Finally, pour the prepared sauce over the cooked pasta in the pot and stir until all pasta is evenly coated. Then garnish with more red pepper flakes, shredded parmesan cheese, or a little chopped parsley. Serve warm.
