Ingredients

  • 18.4 ounces box brownie mix for 9x13-in pan plus ingredients per box instructions
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1⅓ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 3 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups Rice Krispies cereal or Crispy Rice

Instructions

  • Prepare the box brownie mix by following the directions on the back of the box. Then bake it according to the directions.
  • With two minutes of bake time left, remove the brownies from the oven and spread out the mini marshmallows in an even layer on top of the hot brownies. Bake the brownies for the remaining two minutes, watching the marshmallows melt. Remove them from the oven and let the pan cool completely.
  • Prepare the Rice Krispies layer: In a microwave-safe bowl, add the butter, peanut butter, and chocolate chips. Microwave them on high for 30 seconds, stir, then repeat until the mixture is smooth and everything is melted through.
  • Add in the rice cereal and gently stir until it's all coated. Then spoon the mixture onto the marshmallow-topped brownies and spread it out as evenly as possible.
  • Let the brownies cool/set in the refrigerator for at least 1-3 hours. Then cut and enjoy!
