Rainbow sprinkles make them fun and the cake batter keeps them fluffy and sweet. This simple cake cookies recipe is easy to execute so you can have a great cookie anytime!

Five cake cookies with sprinkles baked in them stacked up surrounded by others all around.

We give these cookies 6 out 5 stars! They are the right amount of sweetness, so soft and practically melt in your mouth. The batter is good. The cookies are great! And you better just make a double batch at a time because they won’t last long! We love these cookies for a festive school treat or birthday party snack and gathering of any kind!

How to make Cake Cookies

There’s really nothing to this recipe. Simply gather your cake mix, egg, water, oil, and sprinkles together. Mix them all up in a bowl until just incorporated. Use a Funfetti cake mix instead of a plain white cake mix forgo adding the extra sprinkles. Win!

Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake them for 9-10 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Cool the cookies for a bit on the baking sheet and then transfer them to a wire rack.

Then watch them disappear! These simple cake cookies are by far a favorite cookie in our house!

  • Funfetti cake cookies on a pile cooling.

Feeling a little adventurous? This pumpkin pie crunch bake recipe is a layer of soft pumpkin filling topped with a cake crumble and crunchy pecans. We love to serve this rich dessert warm with a hefty helping of whipped cream or ice cream.

Notes

I double this recipe always because they tend to disappear fast!
You can use Funfetti cake mix and then forgo the sprinkles in the ingredients.
