It’s a great way to incorporate protein and fiber into your diet. This easy granola is the perfect sweet treat for your next breakfast, snack, or dessert!

This healthy granola with fruit is part sweet, part salty, and full of good flavors and crunch. Every time I make this basic granola, I am surprised at how good it tastes and love its simplicity. It’s an outstanding balance of healthy nuts and frozen fruit.

This healthy homemade granola is so pretty. It would be the perfect addition to a breakfast or brunch party and a great side dish for bridal shower luncheons. It is filling without leaving you too full or heavy, and it is super tasty, too! This sweet and tasty granola is great alone as a snack to munch or can be easily paired with yogurt for parfaits.

The best part is that my children, who have equal sugar addictions, really enjoy this homemade granola—and they make it themselves!! That is AWESOME!

How to Make Healthy Granola

This is the easiest baked granola. Mix the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients until everything is evenly coated. Then, bake on a rimmed baking sheet, cool, and enjoy with frozen fruit! Clean-up is a breeze, and prep work doesn’t get easier than pulling out a bag of frozen fruit!

Ingredients to Easy Oven-Baked Granola

  • 1 cup of nuts, two different kinds, chopped
    • Combinations could be pecans and almonds or cashews and walnuts
  • 1/2 cup oatmeal, Old Fashion, and Quick Oats both work.
  • 2 Tablespoons chia seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 teaspoons avocado oil
  • 2 Tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • Frozen mixed berries or fruit, 2 cups at least

Instructions for Healthy Granola with Frozen Fruit

First, line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and preheat the oven to 375°F.

Next, combine the chopped nuts, oats, chia seeds, and salt in a medium bowl.

Then, in a small bowl, mix the oil and syrup. Pour the oil and syrup mixture over the nut and oats and stir until everything is evenly coated.

Finally, spread the granola evenly in a thin layer on the prepared baking pan. Bake it at 375°F for 10-15 minutes. Then, remove it from the oven and let the granola cool completely. Once cooled, break it into small pieces. Serve with frozen fruit, and enjoy!

Storing Homemade Granola

Homemade granola can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two weeks. Avoid storing it in highly humid places.
