This peanut butter bars recipe is a great no-bake dessert. It comes together easily making it a kid-friendly dessert in both making and eating, and they packs some great flavor and texture!
Ingredients
For the crust
- 16 Golden Oreos
- This is roughly one sleeve of a family pack of Golden Oreos.
- 4 tablespoons of butter
For the filling
- 1 cup of creamy peanut butter
- 1/3 cup white chocolate chips
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/3 cup powdered sugar
- Garnishes: edible pearls, M&Ms, or melted chocolate or white chocolate for a drizzle
Directions
First, line an 8×8 square dish with foil and set it aside.
Then, for the crust, crush the Golden Oreos into a fine crumble using a food processor or blender on pulse mode and place them in a medium mixing bowl. Melt your butter in the microwave and mix it well into the Oreos. Next, firmly press the mixture into the foil-lined dish. Refrigerate the crust until you have prepared the filling.
For the filling, add the peanut butter, white chocolate chips, and butter into a microwave-safe medium mixing bowl. Melt the chocolate chips and stir them together by microwaving them for 30 seconds at a time, stirring well in between each take until smooth. (It took my microwave two intervals.) Then stir in the vanilla and powdered sugar until smooth.
Spread the filling evenly on the refrigerated crust and then chill the peanut butter bars for at least 2 hours until solid. Remove the bars from the pan by gently lifting the foil by the sides. Pull back the foil to release the bars and cut them into 20 pieces. Then garnish with edible pearls, a drizzle of melted chocolate or white chocolate, or M&Ms. Refrigerate these no bake peanut butter bars until ready to serve, and enjoy!
