This roasted broccoli with parmesan recipe takes fresh broccoli florets and transforms them into warm savory broccoli bits that have a little zip and a whole lot of flavor. Roasted broccoli is the perfect warm side for cooler months!

Roasting broccoli is a great way to use up extra fresh broccoli florets and is a flavorful alternative to crisp fresh broccoli and dip. With little prep, roasted broccoli with parmesan is a simple side to have in the oven while preparing the rest of your meal.

How to make easy Roasted Broccoli

Preheat your oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.

First, prepare your broccoli florets. Cut them to all about the same size and wash them. Set the broccoli aside.

Then combine the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and broccoli.

Next, line a baking sheet with the broccoli so that each piece is touching the sheet.

Fresh broccoli florets cut to the same size and toss with oil, lemon juice, minced garlic and salt spread out on a baking sheet ready for roasting.

Roast the broccoli in your preheated oven at 425 degrees F for 17-20 minutes. The broccoli is done when it’s tender and easily pierced with a fork. Remove the broccoli from the oven.

Lastly, toss the broccoli florets with black pepper and grated parmesan cheese. Serve immediately. Enjoy!

Ingredients
  

  • 1½ pounds broccoli florets(about one bunch) cut into even pieces, washed, and set aside
  • 4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ lemon juiced (about 1 tablespoon)
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • balck pepper to taste
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese

Instructions
 

  • Combine the extra virgin olive oil, minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt in a bowl and toss with broccoli.
  • Then line a large baking sheet with broccoli so every piece is touching the sheet.
  • Roast at 425°F for about 17-20 minutes. Broccoli with be easily pierced with a fork and tender when done.
  • Remove the broccoli from the oven and toss with black pepper and parmesan cheese to taste. Enjoy!
